Boys enjoy success at Chance to Shine Cricket

A team of 8 St. John's boys shone today to come out triumphant at this years chance to shine cricket tournament.  All the boys worked as a team, and learned from mistakes made, to win all games played.  The toughest match of the day came in the semi-final when they boys came up against St. Johns Fisher.  St John Fisher batted first and gave the team a very high target of 71 to beat.  It was very tense and, after a few high balls being caught by the opposition, the team were still chasing the win when our last two batters, Fraser and Yuvraj, came in to bat.  They batted outstandingly well scoring 34 runs between them to gain the victory for St. John's, who then went on to meet Hillhouse in the final; winning that match by 85 runs.
