Cross Country Competition 3rd February 2017
A team of 60 children from Years 3,4,5 and 6 took part in the Annual Partnership Cross Country Competition on Friday 3rd February 2017. They competed against 17 schools; running a one mile race around the Metropolitan Police Club Sports Ground in Chigwell. 661 children took part in the event and there were 8 races in all. Each team member demonstrated resilience as they completed the course against over 80 runners (and a very strong wind). Stanley Humphreys deserves a special mention as he continued and completed the race despite losing his trainier somewhere on the course; happily they were reuited at the finish line. Kezia Beeton put in her usual amazing performance and came 1st in the Year 6 girls' race. We look forward to her competing in the County Competition once more. A big thank you to Mrs Watkins, Mrs Khachy, Mrs Hodis, Mrs Gulseren, Mrs Luther and all the parents who made it possible for all the children to attend the event.
