Corinne Conway-Long

I was invited by the Rector to become a Foundation Governor at St John’s CofE Primary School. I and my family have lived in Buckhurst Hill for the past 26 years and regularly worship at St John’s Church.

Both my children attended St John’s school (one now is a primary school teacher herself, the other works in the City).  Whilst they were at St John’s, I was Secretary to the PTA for many years, a volunteer classroom helper and a Parent Governor for 8 years.

I have worked at Davenant Foundation School for 15 years, currently as an administrator in the Learning Support Dept, liaising with local education authorities, specialist teachers and outreach workers who support the students with special education needs and disability.  When my children were very young I was a stay at home mum and prior to that I worked as a Human Resources Manager for major American Banks in London.

I am delighted to again be involved in St John’s school and look forward to working with the other Governors, staff, parents and pupils to ensure that all students have the opportunity to achieve the very best they can academically and in all other areas of their school life.
