Friday Round Up 18/11/16
Operation Christmas Child
On Wednesday, Operation Christmas Child collected 269 boxes from St John’s which, in their words, ‘is an amazing number of boxes for a school our size’. Thank you very much for your kindness.
Christmas Events
Again on Wednesday you should have received, by email, a full list of School and Church Christmas events. If your child does not normally have a school meal and you would like them to be part of the Christmas lunch festivities on Tuesday 20th December, please return the slip that went home in the book bags yesterday. If your child usually has a school meal you do not have to do anything. Tickets for the Pantomime are now on sale in the Church office.
Safeguarding
Two cars were broken into on Wednesday afternoon between 3.30pm and 4.00pm ish. One of the cars was parked directly in front of the school and the other on the High Road. Both had bags stolen. More worryingly we believe the person concerned also approached a Year 6 pupil who was walking home alone. All of this information has been passed to the police. Please be vigilant and inform the police immediately either using 999 or 101 if you see anything suspicious. Many thanks for your co-operation in this matter
Book Fayre
The Book Fayre sold £1224 worth of books which means we, the school, receives £674 worth of books. Thank you very much for your support.
3G Assembly
Thank you to the large number of parents and friends of the school who joined us for 3Gs Egyptian Assembly. I am sure you agree the children clearly enjoyed sharing with us all their Egyptian knowledge. My congratulations to the children and staff of 3G.
Just to remind you that the photograph and Christmas card orders were due in today.
Have a good weekend.
Yours sincerely,
P.J.Tidmarsh
