Friday Round-Up

Summer Term week 1

The Daily Mile:

The Daily Mile has started well and is proving to be a very enjoyable part of the day for children and staff alike.  Classes go out at different times of the day to run for up to 10 minutes and come back energised and ready to learn.  Although it's very early days, it already appears to having a positive impact on concentration and well-being.  For more information on the Daily Mile, please visit https://thedailymile.co.uk/

Further Fab 50 successes:

Congratulations to Isis Williams, from Reception 2 and Tasneem Saadani El-allali from 1H who have both successfully completed all 50 books on their year group’s ‘Fab 50’ chart! What an amazing achievement! I shall look forward to enjoying a Headteacher’s Lunch with them next week, on Wednesday, where we shall talk ‘books’ over a lovely Roast Dinner!

Well done too, to Maria Ghounbaz, who has just completed her 80th book, along with Nellie Lan Jones, who has read 60 books. Keep up the super reading everyone!

Safeguarding:

The apps parents and carers should know about…

Do you know all of the apps that your child uses? This interesting article details the 12 apps that all parents and carers need to know about;

As always, the advice is to discuss the apps your child uses with them in an open and non- judgemental environment.

For further advice on any aspect of e-safety, please speak to your class teacher

Class/Sports Teams and Music Photograph day:

This is just a quick reminder that it is Class and Team Photograph day next week, on Tuesday. May I please request that all children attend school dressed as smartly as humanly possible, with the correct school badges and sensibly sized bows for the girls – in the correct school colours. Black shoes must also be worn.

If your child plays a musical instrument it will also need to be brought in on that day.

Thank you!

Netball News!

Congratulations to the Netball Team, who won the Netball League following their victory at Staples Road yesterday after school and have finished the season unbeaten - what an outstanding achievement! More news to follow on this next week and on the school’s website.
