Friday Round Up 5/2/16

Dear Parents,

Book Week 6th to 9th February

Thank you for your generous donation of books for our new library. We are going to be well stocked! Just to remind you that next week is Book Week and on Thursday we are asking everyone to dress up as their favourite Fab Fifty Character.

Crossing Patrol on Church Road

We will have a petition in the school office to support our request that this vacancy is filled as a matter of urgency. Please pop in to sign your name.

Term Dates

Please note the term dates for next academic year are now available on the website under Parents/Carers/Academic Year Calendars.

Reports

Mid-Year Reports for Years 1 to 6 will be issued next Thursday. Along with this Report you should also receive a summary of your child’s attendance and details of the Spring Term Parent/Teacher Meetings. Please let us know if there are any errors on the attendance summary.

Early Years Children receive one Report in July but their parents will still receive the attendance and Parent/Teacher Meeting Information next week.

Parent Meetings

- 21st Feburary E Saftey for parents - all welcome to attend.
• February 28th and March 2nd- Parent Teacher Meetings- forms will be sent out before half term
• Friday 3rd March- Parent and Staff Coffee Morning, 9.00am in the staff room

Parking and the Car Park

As you are aware we ask parents not to use the car park at the start and end of the day as it presents a real danger to our children and their families. However, more and more vehicles seem to be using this entrance so from Monday at 8.30am until 9.55am the car park entrance will have a physical barrier in place and this will be repeated from 3.00pm to 3.30pm.

The Church Office has also requested that any car using the car park out of these times should not park across the green gates as this is the emergency access to the church.

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation in this matter.

Charity Fundraising

Congratualtions to Avni Sangwan from Class 3G. Inspired by the events of a film she organised a sponsored hair cut for herself and raised over £100 for Cancer Research. Furthermore, her hair was also sent to Cancer Research to be made into a wig. There’s initiative for you! Well done Avni.

Congratulations to R1 on an excellent Pirate assembly yesterday. Over 60 children took place in district Cross-Country Races today

Have a good weekend,

Yours sincerely,
